The £40 Burberry Prorsum 'The Petal' Dupe

Do you fancy saving yourself £955? Well you need to get yourself over to ASOS and check out the Aldo Longstreet Flower Clutch.

The Burberry The Petal clutch bag is the IT clutch for S/S 14 and I stumbled across a pretty good dupe for it while browsing ASOS the other day. It's not an exact match but it's pretty darn good and a lovely colour too!

New In: L'oreal L'Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick by Color Riche in 101 Rose Melody

After reading such rave reviews on multiple blogs I knew I just had to pick one of these up! So on a recent trip to my local Boots I found myself in front of the L'Oreal stand eyeing up the colour range. I was looking for a muted pink colour, so when I swatched Rose Melody I happily made my way over to the till with it in hand.

The L'Extraordinaire Liquid Lipsticks by Color Riche come in at £8.99 and are being dubbed as the budget equivalent to the Yves Saint Laurent Vernis A Levres Glossy Stains and for less than half the price who can complain? They promise a formulation containing with micro-oils and rich colour pigments to give the ideal balance of colour and care for your lips. For me, I find the product to be ever so slightly sticky on the lips, but not in a bad way. The colour effortlessly glides on thanks to the flat applicator and doesn't cling to any dry patches or feather at all, unlike other liquid lipsticks I've tried, namely the Rimmel Apocalips.

Rose Melody is a muted pink/nude hybrid with micro shimmer particles, I find it to be a 'my lips but better' colour but with something more, I think it's the shimmer that adds a whole new dimension to this particular shade. It's perfect for every day but could also be worn as a nude paired with a heavy smokey eye for an evening.

First Impressions: Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

Back in February I flew over to Paris for Valentine's Day with my boyfriend. I'd previously tried the L'Oreal micellar water offering and was less that blown away, so I knew that I just had to try the real thing. Bioderma. Bearing in mind we flew over and only had hand luggage, that meant I could only pick up the 100ml version, which I didn't mind so much at the time as I didn't want to waste money on something that I previously hadn't enjoyed using. Fast forward to now. I could not be more disappointed that I didn't pick up more than one bottle and as I don't really have the budget to be splashing out £10 for 200ml of product over here, the search for some sort of replacement begins.

In comes Garnier. Promising much the same, this offering comes in a 400ml bottle for less than £5, which is an absolute steal in my eyes. Much like Bioderma this version has an easy dispensing lid, you just pop it open, squeeze a little on a cotton pad and swipe across the eye. Even my most stubborn mascara is no match. It glides effortlessly over the face, removing every visible trace of make up and once it's sunk into the skin, it doesn't leave that nasty tight feeling on your skin.

All in all I'm impressed so far. I haven't trailed this long enough to warrant it a full review, but I can't see my mind changing. For me, it's the perfect budget alternative for Bioderma.

Sunday Post: The Introduction

This all seems slightly formal doesn't it? An introduction to strangers that may have accidentally stumbled across my blog searching for something completely different. I however am a strong believer in first impressions making a mark so I felt it only right to introduce myself in my first post rather than jumping straight into reviews and swatches and all of that mumbo jumbo.

I'm Emily, I'm 20 years old and I hail from South West England, not too far from the coast actually. I decided to create this blog as a space to voice my opinions on things that I love, be it beauty related, fashion related or food related, anything really. I see this as somewhere I can write exactly how I feel or see something and if people choose to read it, then that's a huge bonus! I myself have read blogs for as long as I can remember and I see it as an extremely rewarding hobby.

So that's me. I'm not going to write about strict plans for this blog as I don't really have any. I just plan to update regularly and we'll see where it goes from there!

As for now, I'm going to crawl back into my bed and catch up with YouTube and Bloglovin (it's all inspiration ya know!)
